take control and choose who to blame, please stop and remember with the greatest respect all those who lost their lives, spouses, sons, father,, limbs, vision, mental health, and youth serving your right to choose sides on a football board.

That’s why we still fight. Today it seems like some of the ones who paid in full in Afghanistan was all in vain!

Absolutely, and with one swipe of the pin, all that was bought and paid for with Tax dollars was all left behind to arm the same people we fought for 20 years, and now they are more heavily armed and more powerful than they've ever been, and they didn't even thank Joe Biden for all the nice new very expensive gifts he just turned over to them. And the women in that country will pay dearly for it, and a very lot of them with their lives. But the same thing was done with Vietnam, Iraq, and now Afghanistan!!!
https://www.hrw.org/asia/afghanistanAs the United States withdrew its remaining troops in 2021, fighting between the Taliban and Afghan government forces intensified. An Afghan branch of the Islamic State (ISIS) also carried out attacks, including against civilians. Hundreds of civilians have been killed and injured in insurgent attacks, including targeted assassinations of journalists and officials. Indiscriminate government airstrikes added to the civilian toll. Women’s rights advocates have raised concerns about shrinking space for civil society. The Taliban have imposed severe restrictions on women’s rights and free expression in areas they control. The Covid-19 pandemic has overwhelmed Afghanistan’s fragile health system, adding to an ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Trump negotiated a contingent May 2020 agreement in the event he won the election. Biden tore up that agreement and made his own, just like he has done with the immigration orders that Trump made. The execution of the withdrawal is on Demented Joey not on Orange Man Donnie.

So we should keep sending more Americans there to die and get maimed? At some point you have to say enough already.

I pay my respects, but we should lay the blame for all of

this at the feet of those who got us into this in the first place... surely, we cannot forget that it was US weapons and training that gave rise to osama bin laden to fight the russians when they invaded. After that, we made diplomatic messes with the taliban that put the US and the taliban at odds, eventually resulting in 9/11 attacks. What was it that the US wanted from afghanistan? Poppy plants maybe? Oil? It surely wasn't to preserve our national security, at least not until diplomacy failed, but this situation goes back to December 1979... we went in as an active force in 2001, but we were attempting to pull strings long before that, and that really is our fault...

Being the big dog isn’t easy. And you’ll always have folks who look back 49.50,100 years and tell how they would have done this or that. We were interested in Russia have a Vietnam war back in the early 80s and it worked at the time.
Doesn’t change that they are so fundamentally entrenched in a violent religion that has a end goal of killing or converting those who aren’t with them. And they’ll eventually be someone who comes over or is already here and does another 9/11 and then we’ll go back and kill a bunch of them. It’ll happen

but like I implied, we cannot ignore the chain of events that have been rattling for decades and centuries...
And I wouldn't be so quick as to label anyone's religion as violent as it is that the Crusades, the colonization of Africa and the Caribbean, the Trail of Tears, slavery in the Americas, Jim Crow and such were all perpetuated by 'good' christians... "Why behold the mote that is thy brother's eye, but considers not the beam that is in thine own eye?"...

Interesting considering the Democrats and mainstream media
Aug 17, 2021, 4:40 AM

lost their minds when Trump wanted to pull out of Afghanistan.
Just another example of anything Trump said or did the Democrats and the mainstream media throwing a temper tantrum and screaming how dangerous Trump is.
Like the Democrats and the media spending four years engaged in a coup and fighting and resisting the 2016 election. And Hillary Clinton and the media and Democrats saying if Trump won in 2020 do not surrender and do not acknowledge his victory. Then turning around when Trump protested clear voter fraud and irregularities and suddenly it’s a constitutional crisis! Not to mention the fact that the Dems are still complaining about the 2000 election.
Another example is the fascist attitude towards informed consent regarding the vaccine for Covid. But when Trump was in office the Democrats were screaming from the highest mountain that they were never going to trust or take a vaccine developed by the Trump administration.
You can’t make this stuff up man! But this is what they do. The Democrats and the mainstream media never see a double standard they don’t embrace. As they love to say, never miss an opportunity to exploit a crisis!

Its been a bad couple of decades for America's image. The Iraq invasion and the chaos that followed started it all, but over the last year we stepped it up even more as far as image around the world. The Capitol riot coupled with these images from Afghanistan and we look like a mess. Then you add all of the race riots and we are giving China and Russia so much ammunition. There is a lot more too.. We look like a mess.

Swap some dates and names, and you can turn "Democrats" into "Republicans" and make virtually the same statement. And that's why the country is where it is.

For all the people you mention. It saddens me to think of all the American lives wrecked by this 20-year conflict.
But as someone else mentioned earlier, they sadly were forced to do it for corrupt politicians and military industrial profiteers. We would still be posting on this board regardless. Hell, without it, some of them might be posting here, too.
