Jan 15, 2015, 8:26 PM

Take it from someone who actually knows......that guys just yells and waves towels.

The workout is the same one Saban has done since he was at Mich St.

Clemson has one of the top S&C programs in the country.....just ask Morotti, Moffitt (who btw Cochrane came from) etc.

Just let Batson do his thing

Jan 16, 2015, 7:51 AM [ in reply to Re: Whenever Batson retires ]

It's crazy all the guys that just yell and do nothing else have two things in common .The hatch system and National title

"Four years after Tennessee installed the Hatch system, they won the national championship (1998)," Hatch said. "Four years after Miami installed the Hatch system, they won the national championship (2001).

"Four years after LSU installed it, LSU won the national championship (2003)."

A few years after USC installed it, they won the 2004 national championship. (Coach Carlisle)

And in its 3rd year under the Hatch system run by Moffitt disciple Scott Cochran, Alabama won the National Championship this year (2009).

And add FSU to this also since they installed the hatch system 2009 and won it all in 2013

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

awesome and when clemson starts running a pro style

Jan 16, 2015, 8:53 AM

offense & not a huhn, let me know. there are other programs that won national titles too and they do not use hatch.

no one says that there can't be 3, 4, 5 plus systems that work. saying batson 'sucks' because it's not hatch is patently ####### stupid.

What does the type of offense have to do with it ? Being strong in the weight room doesn't mean crap unless you can bring that strength onto the football field . Wow our OLine can bench 500 pounds but can't get a push on a tiny Sc state dline . It's all about functional strength

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Jan 16, 2015, 9:27 AM

this scheme; was that hatch strewn all over the field? or tOSU in the orange? or saban crying a river about the hunh because his fat boys can't keep up and it's hard?

we are conditioned completely different running the hunh whether you care to acknowledge it or not. the entire scheme is built, practiced and designed for volume and to wear down bigger teams with space, not bellying up at the point of attack.

it's just football, don't let it get in your way.

Stop talking you are clueless .

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

haha, i said clemson won 42 games in 4 years & could not

Jan 16, 2015, 10:12 AM

do that with a weak o line nor could clemson roll out the number 1 defense in all the land not having any mayonaisse.

haha, i know you're having a difficult time wrapping your limited football knowledge around those two things, but it's ok, maybe one day you'll makes some sense. i'm rooting for you.

if this is all going to0 fast for you, you could always pull a hatch and roll around on the ground like lsu?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

funny thing is, i hate the huhn-spread and you know this.

Spin it however you would like the OLine is weak and has been weak since Batson got here . What has changed over those years OLine coaches but what has stayed the same Batson . You are happy with 42 wins and no titles that's fine but some of us set the bar higher and want National Titles .

Re: yeah, ok, i'll spin 42 wins in 4 years and the number ONE D

Jan 16, 2015, 10:34 AM

"Pure strength that can't be converted to athletic strength is of no use to an athlete," Hatch said, launching into an example using a former LSU football player. "A delivery man can move a refrigerator 10 yards, but he can't move it as fast as (former LSU defensive lineman) Booger McFarland can move it 10 yards.

"In Olympic-style lifts, you're standing on your feet. That's the way you play football. You're not laying on your back like you would for a bench press."

The Hatch system focuses on overall explosive strength and doesn't target body parts the way bodybuilders sculpt themselves for on-stage posing or the beach.

"In Olympic lifting and in football, your body is working as a single unit," Hatch said. "You don't use your hamstrings on one play and your pecs the next."

Football players do specific leg, hip and back work, but it's part of a system that strengthens those areas for better explosive strength in competition. Hatch said the system also demands -- and exacts -- mental toughness.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

awesome, he's a good one, no doubt... so is batson and

Jan 16, 2015, 10:43 AM

so are the 42 wins and a wrecking ball of a defense, maybe the best clemson has ever seen?

everything is improving and i'm glad you're here for it even if you don't appreciate it unfolding in front of you.

i have concerns as well, which i've shared many times, but this batson thang is not one of them. you do not accomplish what these clemson teams have without accomplished S&C. you just don't.

now, ebb tide! and help that lsu player off the field, 'cause he looks gassed and after all, it's the right thing to do.

Re: awesome, he's a good one, no doubt... so is batson and

Jan 16, 2015, 10:52 AM

No we won 42 games and had the number 1 defense because of the type of athletics we have coming in and the coaching we have . Imagine how many wins we could have had with the proper nutrition and strength and condition coach

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

coaching including S&C, you can't separate them no matter

Jan 16, 2015, 11:11 AM

how much you tighten your sphincter and wish it so.

clemson is last on your list in money and just recently got a training table plus increased staff including nutritionists.

dabo has gotten buy in from the highest reaches of clemson and it continues to show on the field, that includes trying to catch up in support staff and facilities where clemson has been dwarfed for many years by those programs you run out.

continue to dream your little dream and ignore the real differences both on and off the field. i like you football ignant, just so you know.

42 baby, the answer to the universe... just not yours 54.

Jan 16, 2015, 8:51 AM [ in reply to Re: Whenever Batson retires ]

Maxwell came into the NFL stiff—literally. He couldn’t touch his toes while standing. So he took up hot yoga and has been dedicated to it for three years. He even finds a way to do it in road cities. Sometimes before he goes to bed on the road he’ll do the poses right there in the room—Crouching Camel or whatever it’s called. He’s proud of it. It got him through shin, hamstring and shoulder injuries that kept him off the field while I was able to earn a role. The way he feels about yoga is the way I feel about film study, because I know I’m not the best athlete playing corner in the NFL.

They didn't earn titles, much like the incest bowl.
