Wow, that was terrible D.

Credit to Pitt for an excellent gameplan. You aren't the number 2 team in the country with that kind of D and certainly not a national champ. Better get good a D really, really quick.

Imo same thing as last season not playing the back ups enough for some reasons trust is probably the main thing. We will never win the Natty without depth especially with the front 7 on D. Teams run to many plays in today's game to not spell the starters. Look they need to play early so Wilkins, Watkins, and big Dex to play strong late in games.

The D just couldn't get off the field

It was a death by a thousand cuts kind of performance and reminded me of the Clemson teams of the early 2000s that seemed unable to get a stop. Now, there were a couple drives that were extended due to penalties. A few of the calls were absolutely horrendous but that can't be what beats a team.

I'm going to chalk it up to great scheming by Pitt and lackadaisical performance by the D. We're getting everybody's best shot these days and need to be ready every week no matter the opponent.
