What these bowl games indicate to me...once again...

Dec 31, 2019, 4:09 PM

As bad as the ACC is there’s still not a huge divide between ACC teams and the SEC east. Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake, Louisville and others are very similar to the meat of the SEC east with the possible exception of UGA, which has no offensive identity, and would probably drop a game to the aforementioned. I was highly unimpressed by the Gators. They ARE the Cavaliers. The main and slight difference seems to be the SEC teams are a little stronger on the D line. The SEC West does have several strong teams in LSU, Bama and maybe Auburn. But once you get past those there is really very little difference in the rest and the ACC. The “we get worn down in the SEC narrative” is still overblown and exaggerated, even in these times of the weakest ACC I can recall.

Correct. The ACC is just a collection of Clemson and 6-6 teams. Unfortunately we have no teams other than Clemson to challenge Alabama, LSU, UGA, Auburn, and Florida.

I do look to see UNC and UL stepping up next year. Sounds like VT has a ton of starters returning and I am hopeful that UVA and Bronco keep their mojo going.

ACC will be better next year and not a complete dumpster fire.

season when there aren't enough big match-ups to draw attention. After Week 2, save for the late tune-ins to watch us lose to UNC, there was a weekly serving of nada. A few programs need to pick it up some because if they're not watching Clemson play, they sure as heck aren't watching anybody else.

Whatever helps those princesses feel better while we keep taking home the Trophy.

The "tired and worn down from playing an SEC schedule" is the gheyest, most ridiculous excuse ever. They act like the rest of the country plays flag football.

That only became the excuse when they started losing the big games out of conference. Before it was that their conference strength that made outside competition easy for them.

The difference is usually a couple teams at the top. You take 2-14 in the ACC and mix them up with 4-14 in the SEC and they are all the same.
