Hes got the facilities, tradition, fan base, recruiting, etc. at ND but continues to get punked when he plays the big boys. I dont get this hire if LSU really lands him.

Are you joking? What he’s done at ND is remarkable considering all the limitations he has recruiting, they stopped bending the rules and GPA requirements when Holtz left (Rice was famously one of those players). He will win at least one natty at LSU, dude is a heck of a coach.

Don't know about him going to LSU. That program has been a mess the past couple of years. I think he's done a nice job at ND. Probably should stay put.

He built a perennial top 10 team which nobody after Holtz could accomplish. It is reasonable for many to assume that if he can accomplish this at ND then he could accomplish even more at LSU where there is minimal akedrmyc requirements

I don’t think he goes. But the money may be too #### good.

They can but they have been chea in the past. Florida offered Urban double the money of ND back in the day. But you are correct in that ND would possibly loosen the purse strings in LSU cam calling. No idea what he currently makes now so like many other posters I could be speaking out of my ### now.

For a lot of these coaches, it's 100% about the money.

I think his chances of winning a natty are greater at LSU, and I think that as well as the money is driving his decision.
