I think he will be there for 4 or 5 years, win the Pac 12 once maybe twice. Then I think he takes a bigger job possibly.

You call it an experiment, but Dabo at Clemson was an experiment. He had zero HC experience. Deon at least has HC experience at some level.
But, Dabo and Deon can both "get players"!
To let many on TNET tell it; "developing players" isn't so important as much as making sure you get more higher-rated players. I disagree with that; but many believe if you can attract really good players it basically automatically means - "you win"!
He'll be able to do that(get highly-rated players).
Much like Dabo; he understands, "he is not a play-caller he is going to delegate he** out of that duty and I'm sure they will be good"!
Another thing he and Dabo have in common in my opinion.
The similarities end there; but I think as long as he gets support from Colorado and the boosters who support that program - "he's going to do alright"!
Remember - UCLA and USC are headed to the Big 10. I could see a situation where players basically choose Colorado or Oregon in the Pac 12 the way it's currently constructed.
I like the Pac 12; but i'm not looking down the rosters in the PAC 12 and going they are loaded with potential NFL caliber talent. If he can bring in more than the average Pac 12 team; why wouldn't he be successful?
Especially if he hires well in terms of assistants.

I'm not yet convinced he can coach at the highest levels where the pressure to succeed immediately is so immense. That being said, I hope he's successful. I'd love to see him start with some winning seasons and then put together a conference championship or two--at the VERY least, make Colorado nationally relevant again. They've stunk for so long.

They went 1-11 this year. I think they will obviously improve, but that have a very long way to go.

I think he will have initial success, but with bought and paid for players and coaches. All of the egos, all of the swagger, and all of the promises too large to keep will eventually blow up.
30 for 30 within 15 years will be must see TV

It’s definitely an experiment. He has never coached at a power 5 school and only dominated at lower levels when he had better players than the rest of the league. Once the okaying field is level we will see how good a coach is. It won’t end well for Colorado. They can only pay him so much and Dieon left JSU for the money.
If he is successful, he leaves in 2-3 years and empties the cupboards when he leaves. He has no ties to Colorado and will leave at the first big offer for more money. Program will be back at square one, which is bottom of the pac 10.
If he is not successful, then he will throw everyone except himself under the bus and it will be colossal failure and probably leave with Colorado in the NCAA penalty box.
No win situation for Colorado. They sold their soul to Dieon for a few years of potential success.
