is so good, and adapts to this offense so quickly, that the coaches have toconsider making him the starter for this upcoming season!?

Slim. If the QB is not KB, it will be HJ.

I have to disagree. If Lawrence can learn the system well enough, as DW did in his freshman year, he won't sit. It'll definitely be a heck of a dilemma for the coaches. KB has to play somewhere, somehow, some way. I'm sure Johnson and Brice will also have a say so. I just can't see Lawrence sitting or especially red shirting with all that talent unless he can't pick things up quickly.

Unless there are injuries, HJ will never play a meaningful snap at clemson. There’s no way TL sits behind him. He’s simply too good. If KB doesn’t start next year, it will be TL. Then next year HJ will transfer. Just my guess.

DW didn't come out starting over Cole.

Dabo will start the better QB who isn't named Trevor Lawrence. I have no doubt that TL will play early and often but I could see him being a backup for several games before he takes the starting job.
Most of the new guys show up in the first game with a mastery of a handful of plays. A total mastery of the play book is a big part of being the best.
To answer your question, I'd say everyone of these guys have a shot at being the starter for they are certainly all talented, it's the development that separates them, imo.

as far as talent goes, need some reps for game prep week while at Clemson, getting used to travelling and managing their class schedule on top of all of that.

all depends on how fast he learns the playbook and adapts to speed of the college game. Everyone else is ahead of him at this point.

Depends on how well he performs while Christian and Dexter are trying to kill him.
Then we'll see....

If TL is better than Seventeen Starting NFL QB'S now per Trent Dilfer, He will start and KB will be A Backup or Slot Receiver per Ray Ray and HJ will be the Backup QB.

TLaw has the physical tools but he doesn't have Jake Fromm's head. No way he starts over KB or Johnson w/o injury to both.

It's interesting how you think you know this without him playing a single down of college football yet. Are you praying to the Eason Gods yet he got hurt...because your beloved Fromm wouldn't have hit the field without it.

Good point....none of us know. Not saying it isn't possible but it's more than likely that TLaw won't have complete command of the offense like Bryant and Johnson. Not sure Dabo's best chance to get back to the playoffs will be with a true freshman. Bryant is a much more accomplished runner than Lawrence as well.....and the success of Clemson's offense depends greatly on a running QB does it not?

I'm sure a lot of folks probably said the same thing about Fromm at UGA, as far as going to the playoffs with a freshman QB.
Bama did it last year. UGA did it this year. It would be foolish to think somebody of Lawrence's abilities couldn't do the same. Clemson will have a loaded defense, a ton of skill at WR/RB, and a favorable schedule to boot next year.
Maybe we'll see you in the playoffs?

I wouldn't quite say that anymore. Did it prior, yes. Gallman didn't really come on until his last 2 years of play, and when Tajh was the QB, Clemson didn't really have any great running threat.
But this last year, it was actually Bryant's PASSING that became the crutch. Let's be as straight forward as possible...Travis Etienne passed Bryant this year as the team's leading rusher. Travis Etienne is the guy that sits tied from this past year at #26 in the nation in rushing TD's (technically @#28). The emergence of Clemson getting a rushing attack back with Etienne and Feaster (plus now Lyn J Dixon and Rencher may get added in) that we honestly haven't had in quite a while changes that aspect. That's in truth a rushing attack Clemson hasn't had since CJ Spiller and James Davis era. Clemson get's a good rushing attack this next year, the QB run is far less important....and passing will become a bigger priority.

Keep this with a thought...Travis Etienne when out after an injury on the first kickoff return of the game vs Bama..played just a afew more snaps and was out the rest with a concussion. Kelly was still in there, but his "run" threat didn't become the problem vs Bama as much as the lack of a passing attack. And with the team's leading rusher not on the field, it did hinder the Tiger's running game, throwing more weight on Bryant...which vs Bama, you have to have a passing attack if you want your run attack to be successful.

How do you know he does not have Fromms head? Btw Fromm only started because of injury as you should know. I do think KB starts ofcourse tho.

Eason had every chance to win back his starting job after he healed.....he couldn't.

I'm glad someone recognizes Lawrence does not have Fromm's head. I take that as a compliment because Lawrence is much, much better.

Fromm has some catching up to do. Maybe you missed the part where he is being called the best in 20 years, or Dabo saying he is mentally ahead of Deshaun, etc...
UGA lost 30+ seniors, you may want to go away because Fromm and UGA will have a miserable year.

Yes we lost 30 seniors but only 13 of them were in the Two-deep. The rest were walk-ons/scout teamers. Not losing as much depth as you think.

Fromm is closer in talent level to his namesake that plays for the coots than he is to TL. FACT!

physically talented QB on campus from day one; certainly from an "arm" standpoint and the ability to make all of the throws, including throwing on the run. Three things will determine if and when TL wins the starting job: How quickly he picks up the offense, how quickly he adjusts to the speed of the game at this level, and how much the other QBs have improved. None of us can possibly answer those questions, but I'll offer a wild guess; TL starts at some point this coming season. Bold and daring, I know.

Probability of Lawerence playing meaningful snaps (number wise) is totally dependent on KB and Hunter Johnson.
