What and where should I be fishing in October? Help!!!

I want to go fishing this month. Where when? For what? Salt or freshwater.y son and I are wondering and need help. I need to go fishing badly. COVID19 crazy!!! My counselor told me to go fishing. So help me you anglers

If I was down in SC, I would go looking for Reds and Striper

on the coast. My brother has been catching all types of Reds in tidal flats further up the coast.

Striper season should be in full swing.

Flounder, Reds, and Mangrove Snapper are usually great in the low country in October. For freshwater, bass are still good to go most everywhere.

Striper are both but the ones that were impounded by dams years ago adapted and thrived in freshwater.
