What a disappointing season it has been...

for Mike Noonan's Clemson Men's Soccer team.Never thought they would have been this bad at this point in the season.Losing to Virginia badly at Riggs Field tonight 4-1 to drop to 5-6-1 overall and a surprising 0-5-0 in the ACC.I know the ACC schedule has been very tough but dang the team looks outmanned ever game in conference just about.

It is really disappointing. Is it a youth factor? We were supposed to be good this year and go deep into post season. Preseason rankings of top 15 across the board in all the ratings.

There is some youth on the team but there is also a good bit of veterans too.They lost some very good players from last season but not enough to be playing the way they have been playing at this point in the season.What's been disappointing is the play of the guys that were ranked #2 by some publications and #3 by others in this past recruiting class by Mike Noonan and his staff.

We lost a good part of our offense and the youth factor has not engaged. We will be much better the next few years with all the talent playing as freshman. However, I agree this years squad is a little disappointing with how they cover and finish.
