UVA’s offense exploited the type of defense BB runs. Unfortunately, when you have your back to the ball it allows lots of layups. We do play good defense it’s just a flaw and not a defensive style run by most coaches. Anyone that has played basketball, even as low tier as high school will tell you that BB doesn’t run “shell drill” in practice. It was basketball 101 at its finest.
