Well, that stunk...

Things are never as good or as bad as you think. But the ACC didn't have a great weekend. Dook losing to Charlotte. Tech losing to NIU. UNC getting exposed after being ranked #10 (although that one didn't surprise me). Miami not being competitive at all.

FSU was actually a bright spot, and they still lost.

Georgia was slightly better than Clemson. And I mean 'slightly' in that way that you'd have to examine under a microscope to see the difference.

I've always thought that as long as Venables were running your defense, you guys would be a big-time program. That's still the case. Venables' defense was all over it the other night. That offense needs to re-tool a little, but you won't see another defense that nasty until the CFP. And if Clemson wins out, I think they will go to the CFP.

I just dont see a group who played like that winning out. More likely playing down to one or more along the way and losing late. One dimenional football only takes you so far.

Never seen a 5 star QB play like that. Backup could no worse.

Soft offense period. The look in his eyes tells everyone he was scared.

Hope GT can take a step forward….they need to reclaim their spot in the Coastal ‘wheel of destiny’.
Clemson has some work to do…finding the end zone against S.C. State is the first order of business!

I just don't see that "step forward" happening under Collins. I hope I'm wrong. I know he had a huge rebuilding job when he took over. But so far, I am not seeing any evidence that he's the guy that can lift our program up.

This year, I expected more than 3 wins. Maybe 5 or 6. But beating NIU was part of that. So, now we have to readjust our expectations down.
