We spent millions on the indoor facility

Dec 17, 2012, 7:17 PM

Are we practicing there this week? Also, is there a hill to simulate the real game atmosphere?

TIA

Yea, practice facility is worthless without SEC scalps

Dec 17, 2012, 7:26 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dec 17, 2012, 8:18 PM

Things are a lot different now he had unlimited practice time now they have 20 hours per week including the game.

Not to mention it is a great simulation for field turf like we will play on in the Georgia Dome and a plus for recruiting.

If they needed an indoor facility so badly, they should have renovated Littlejohn and turned it into the indoor facility IMO.

That would allow the basketball program to build a new facility. (perhaps with a view of lake Hartwell) It would also allow the football program to keep everything close together.

It would take a lot of money, but they could improve the atmosphere for basketball games (and therefore give Brownell the same support that Swinney is getting and improve recruiting) by building a top notch facility with a view of the lake, campus, etc.

They could do the same with the baseball stadium and have a similar situation that candlestick park does with students floating in the lake waiting for Home Runs.
