injury away from having just 2 qbs. Being loyal qb that can not win in the playoffs. I hope KB plays lights out next year. Just let a better qb go than KB. I guess it was clear that TL was qb in waiting and HJ was told he would not be the starter during his career. Now we are thin. I guess Kendricks could play qb in a pinch. Any grad qb transfer available?

KB is going to be a very good backup and in special situations (goal-line, short-yardage). Hunter is good, but he wasn't absolutely that far past Chase Brice. I don't think any team in the country can ever expect to lose 3 QBs in a year and be fine. We had an unheard of luxury. Now we just have slightly less luxury.

i doubt seriously that Hunter was "told" he would not be a starter in his career. I think he came to that conclusion on his own...evaluating the personnel around him. I dont blame Hunter. Wish him the best. One benefit is the other QB's will get more practice reps!

Yes and we are just two injuries away from having one QB and just three injuries away from having to play a wide receiver at QB. But KB has proven himself to be very durable and this should all TL to play one or two series a game and learn the system. In this situation you have a very experienced QB leading your team to a NC and tutoring a freshman through the season.

We have 3 fantastic choices for QB, which is between 2 and 3 more than pretty much every other school in the country. I really don't get the hand-wringing going on.
Johnson is a great QB, and of course I'd rather he stayed. But as others have said, I think he saw the writing on the wall in practice. Lawrence truly is a once-in-a-generation talent, and we've been blessed to get 2 of those guys in only half a decade. Just sit over there and be happy that we can afford to lose this much talent and still be this good.

We'll here we are. An I' afraid this is going to cost us in the upcoming season. Our second best QB is transferring, and my guess is that the coaching staff will probably insist on starting KB. I like KB, I'm sure he's a nice guy, but to continue the pretense that he is a top-caliber D-1 QB suitable to start at a program like Clemson's is the stuff of delusion. I tire of hearing about how many games he "won" for this past season. Can't you make a case that the team won those games, in spite of KB. Most recently, he was exposed against Alabama, and then again in our spring game against our own defense. Anyone happen to watch Trevor Lawrence's performance in the Spring game? And now, Hunter is transferring, very possibly in disgust. KB is not even close to being on his level. It's very hard to fool players, and I fear that we are going to begin to hear some real discord in the locker room. Not really optimistic about the upcoming season. We may not even make the playoffs.

No way was HJ " told " he would never play , his decision is probably based on his awareness inside of the situation .
