Best hotel deal I know of, Holiday Inn on Augusta Road $72

Nov 14, 2012, 11:13 PM

Holiday Inn on Augusta Road in Greenville has rooms for $72 which includes a full hot breakfast......yes that means bacon, eggs and grits. Final price including tax is $79. But you have to book it online. I don't think they have the same rate when booking by phone. When booking if it asks click on join Holiday Awards so you get the free breakfast. We stay here pretty often and it's surprising how few people stay here on the weekends.

I don't know. The room is guaranteed to be held for you. We always check in after the game. I have never tried to check in prior to since we start tailgating about 5 hours before kickoff.

The Boss and I stay there quite often during football season and it is a good deal.

And Phinny Walker's can be a very surreal bar....lol

I can never remember a time when we couldn't get early check-in if necessary at that particular hotel...its usually cheaper to book online, just make sure to give them a call about the early check-in so you'll be speaking with a human being while (hopefully) they'll be making a note in the system under your reservation

Sweet man.

Well considering the area it is in and the outside condition

Nov 14, 2012, 11:41 PM

of the hotel, it is surprising they have people stay there at all. As a person who worked a long time in the hotel industry in Greenville, I'm actually surprised that place has been able to stay open.

But if the inside is clean and the rooms are cheap, why not if you're spending most of your time in Tigertown anyway!

Its right off the interstate.
Well lite parking lot.

I have never had any problems there and not hesitant to stay there in the future.

Oh trust me I know where it is.

Nov 15, 2012, 5:19 AM

And I'm glad you haven't had any problems and hope you never do. It's just that many other people are well aware of where it's at too and that's why you find those cheap rates and empty rooms.

To go along with that they don't have a desirable staff b/c of that area and the fact they don't pay well and let's just say when it comes to cleanliness, I wouldn't trust it like I would the Hyatt, Marriott, or Westin. Even if it looks clean I'd at least suggest double checking with a black light :)

At the end of the day though, if it works for you, more power to ya my friend!
