Tigers add another piece to 2021 recruiting class with 5-star snapper
The long snapper position is one of the more underappreciated and unrecognized positions on the field to the common fan, their names coming to light only when a mistake is made. Most snappers operate in relative anonymity and they are ok with that. Nice to see a long snapper getting some props. I appreciate that position every time i see the ball snapped back perfectly to the punter and the hold FG holder. Welcome Holden!

Nothing against the young man, but exactly how is he a "5" star? It would be good to know who rated him to be a five star (ESPN, 247 etc.). Is this just click bait?

Strange position to play. I guess you could say that you are a great players if you are never noticed! As long as the snaps are perfect your name will likely never be mentioned. And that’s a good thing.
Hopefully we can bring in a five star center to make the other snaps! That offensive line needs to be a LOT better this year. I think,

Rated by Rubio. You attend and pay alot of money to attend his kicking and snapping camps. The more you attend and pay, the higher he rates you. Many kids start attending in junior high or younger. He also picks the snappers for the high school all star games.

I would give him at least 3+ stars of the normal ranking just bc of how hard he hustles down field in coverage getting to the punt returner!!!!

I never knew there was such a thing as a 5 star long snapper. I do know that the guys that have been doing it in the past have done a really good job. Like the article said, the only time you hear about them is when they do something wrong. And, when the long snapper does something wrong, it can be extremely bad, so it is very important to get a talented guy! Welcome to the Clemson family, Holden.
