I do believe we were the better team in that 45-40 loss which still makes me sad to know we lost it.
Now that LSU game...it was closer than the final score indicated. That LSU team just had the magic that wasn't going to be stopped that year and flooded with insane talent. That one I can live with because that was truly one of the best teams I've witnessed, ranking along with our 2018 Tigers and 2004 USC. I think if that game was played 10 times, it'd come out to an even 5 wins for both teams. There was so much great college and NFL talent in that game, that looking back at it, it's truly shocking.

Our corners had no answer for their receivers or Burroughs, who could drop it in a teacup on the run sixty yards downfield. It was like our corners were in concrete. I was there. That loss was not on TL.

Trevor's a lot better now than he was in 2019. They've talked about having to work with him to reteach him fundamentals (courtesy of dear ex-OC). But the big thing there was that our defense that year wasn't very good. It was basically Simmons needing to be everywhere at once.

You may not realize that the chargers were a 10-7 wild card team. The next two games are against KC then the Bills.

The only one we should have won is 2015. We were the better team but some mistakes cost us. The onside kick I believe was a formation error. I don’t know but I think Dabo was trying to achieve field position and he gambled with a formation. The formation allowed for the onside kick to be feasible Alabama saw it and exploited it. Couple with I think Jayron sleeping. Not sure. I believe there was also a run back for a touch down. Again, I think Dabo gambled and kicked it to them and thought let’s see if we can pin them at the 10 or 15 yard line. Well it ended up as a touch down. I think when you are the superior team you should eliminate all possible errors on special teams and let your defense and offense win the game for you. Eric Coker beat us for crying out loud… Derrick Henry was going to get his 2 tds and 200 yards can’t stop him. OJ Howard having 200 yards or whatever it was unexplainable. If we don’t gamble on special teams DW4 and crew win that game and it’s back to back NC’s. LSU nah… we ran into a freight train got to give credit where money bought everyone on the roster.
