I'm guardedly hopeful for 2 reasons. First, we should not have a lot of pressure on us. There isn't a lot to lose so pretty much anything we do is an upside. Second, we have played really well at home all year and we will have all home games until the Final Four.
Maybe I am setting myself up for another disappointment but hope springs eternal...

Somebody hasn't been paying attention to this team. We have the ability to beat any team in the NIT, but we could also lose to just about any team in the NIT. Depends on which version of the team shows up on a particular night.

You are dillusional. I’ve been to a couple of NIT games in the past when we played a no name team and got the crap beat out of us both times. Listen these kids will play the best game of their lives and if we just show up it will be a typical Brad one and done

I hope I'm wrong. We have the talent to go so much further, but based upon precedent.... 2nd round is as far as we go.
Love these players, though, and hope the best for them. Great bunch of guys who have fought hard and deserve much better.

I think you've just coined the slogan for Clemson basketball, "Prepare to be disappointed."
Not as catchy as "Best is the Standard" but has a real ring of accuracy.
Coach Brownell is disappointed, players are disappointed, fans are disappointed. I'd like to believe the Clemson administration is disappointed as well but not sure how gauge that right now.

That might be a good slogan for every team that does not win the National Championship every year. It is simply the nature of all sports. The Alabama football fans have been disappointed many more times than not. If you can't handle disappointment, then life is going to be even harder for you.

Won't be too surprised if we lose to Moorehead St. Lost to Oakland before, right?
Don't get me wrong, I'll be rooting them on to an NIT championship. But another dreadful, embarrassing loss doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility based on past performance.

The bracket has many 20+ win teams. I wouldn’t declare a cake walk just yet.
Hopefully our players are resilient and shrug off the NCAA snub.
