Phil mafah averaged 5.6 ypc, most of which came in the first half. Before the TN defense was “worn down” according to JV OC Streeter.

Mafah only carried the ball 7 times, SEVEN! Only 2 of those coming in the second half. He had 39 yards. That is 24% of the rushing production on only 15.5% of the workload.

For those of you asking, that is a glaring example of poor coaching.

Streeter talked about needing to get Shipley the ball more postgame, agreed, but what about mafah?

If Phil mafah transfers no one can blame him. He deserves more touches and our team would be better for it.

longest most boring game ever. Barbara Walters died at 93. I think she was in her 60's at kickoff.

It appeared that the playcalling was more centered around showcasing our new, young QB's personal skills than it was allowing the supporting team members to do the heavy lifting while he settled into being a true game manager. Too much weight thrown on CK by an overzealous coach wanting to prove something.

I don't think it was showcasing as much as it was trying to make up for lost time. I think the coaches may have been trying to get Cade prepared for next year by giving him a large workload. If the coaches played him more during the season we may have seen a more balanced attack.

It is coaching malpractice. Mafah is arguably the better RB. He is big and fast and runs tough. I feel sorry for him the way he is being underutilized.
