ACC is toast from at minimum a financial perspective. And in this new pay to play environment that essentially means you're relegated to irrelevant in short order.

The schools do not pay the athletes, it does not come from the athletic department budget.

They need to get into the Big 10. Would love to add Penn State, but that would seem VERY unlikely. I could deal with WVU, but if it came down to a choice, I’d rather take Maryland back over them.

Only problem is we have to be asked to join the SEC. Sure we can ask but they can say no and more than likely they would say no.
As to the BIG 10 where is the value in playing schools from the North/ Northeast when we would have to travel to as many as 5 or 6 away games but each of the other schools only have to travel here each once a year.

would love to go to the Big10. I think recruits would like to know they could play So Cal, Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, etc. I would not be like WVU in the Big 12.
Our only hope of getting an invite to either might be The Big wanting to edge into SEC territory, or the SEC trying to fence the Big out of this region.

I don’t know who else to pair with ND.
USF doesn’t really excite me. UConn offers nothing in football. That 16th member is looking like a really big reach.
WVU doesn’t just doesn’t excite me. Their program seems to maximize what they have to work with, but road games to WV? No thank you. And I have no use for that pack of hillbillies coming to Clemson.
