We lost a lifelong Tiger fan today...

Oct 20, 2012, 9:56 PM

My girlfriend's grandpa passed away this morning at the age of 90. He graduated from Clemson in 1948 as the class of 1944 because he went into the service during WWII. He never missed a game and even made the nurses wheel in a TV last weekend to watch his tigers. So gald the Tigers got a win for him today. Rest in peace.

Oh, Cody, thank you so much! That was my Daddy and he passed about 2 hours before the game. Earlier sometime he had mentioned something about flying over the field, maybe he did see the game. We indeed watched the Ga Tech game on a flat screen TV that the nurses borrowed, maybe it was the best watching I ever did with him! I sure will miss talking about the games with him as I did each weekend afterwards. He'd be honored to be mentioned on Tigernet!

y game forever more. I still miss my talks with my dad-after a win, right away, after a loss probably a few days later when he could talk again! RIP
