The ACC preforming well and getting wins always helps us. I dont agree with the notion that it has no impact.

I agree with the OP that we have to start pulling for other ACC schools. Like it or not this effects our program. We need VT to be good.
That being said this is far from a must win game. VT has been bad all season long. That hasn't changed. Most expected Rutgers to win.

We have all heard how weak our schedule is and it does not do anything but make us look like we have an even weaker schedule by VT losing. So if you are not pulling for other ACC teams you better start. Hard to believe we have fans who pull for teams outside of this conference.

I dont buy into this grabage that conference teams need to win their bowl games, and most broadcasters and analysts woudl agree. Not when teams have a month to get ready and teams are all out of rhythm. SEC losses its share of bowls but win titles thanks to Bama. I for one dont like pulling for teams I know we recruit against, Ive just always felt that way. We need to take care of our business and beat LSU and that will go a long way for Clemson. What VT or Duke does is meaningless.

verse beating a VT team that ends up 4-8. If you can't see that then I simply will have to shake my head. It hurts us when our opponents have sucky records and we lose to teams with good records. I cannot explain that any more simply than that. I would agree with you if we beat teams with winning records but we do not. See where im coming from?

I disagree, just beat LSU and it doesnt matter what anyone else does! I dont need other teams to speak for us, we just need to go out and win. Do you think SEC teams really cared that Vandy lost its bowl last year? That meant nothing to USUCK bc they won their bowl and thats all any team cares about.

If we lose to LSU and just say all other ACC teams win their bowls (I know Duke lost already) does that really make our season any better or different? No, we'll all be furious we lost our bowl. All Im saying

How does SOS help us now? It doesn't. Not going to BCS bowl. VT sucked this year, no one thinks they're any better b/c they won the bowl game, they're 7-6 whoopee. Maybe we'll get a kid or two that they would have gotten b/c of it.
