Also, we have contacted CJ Felder. One of the few Boston College players I have always liked. Would definitely get the minutes now with O-Max transferring, and could also see him starting alongside Hall and Tyson.

We recruited Felder out of HS and quotes as loving the campus below. Out of all the potential front court transfers this one would make the most sense. Unless Brad feels bad for hurting his good friend Earl Grant by having him here instead of BC, or Felder wanting to get out of the ACC area, I really see as a very strong possibility:

Since we lost Newman. Still need a HR scorer in the backcourt to pair with Dawes.
Also need a solid experienced big to pair with PJ. IMO PJ needed more minutes this year.

The other guard (getting the most minutes) will likely be Nick Honor. With Josh Beadle coming in (able to play both guard spots), I don't think we'll be as concerned about PG depth as we were last year. We'll also have Hemenway and Hunter as depth pieces as well. I'll question playing Hunter until he proves something in a meaningful game (he's yet to do so and has seemed to have a lot of opportunities). Hemenway simply must become more reliable defensively so that we can afford to play him more minutes to gain from his offensive capabilities that are unlike anybody else on the team. Anybody we take from this point forward will need to be (or play like they are) 6'5" or taller.

From what I've heard, PJ would have gotten more minutes had he ever been in shape. He couldn't keep himself on the floor. He couldn't go more than five or six minutes on the floor without looking completely winded.

We are looking at and have contacted several guards in the portal. 6-3 Antonio Daye from Florida International has us in his top 4, and also have contacted 6-4 Ammari Franklin from Indiana who has been on campus since we recruited him out of H.S.
Guards are easier to come by in the portal. We do need a 6-6 or taller athlete to replace O-Max and that’s why I specifically indicated this out this thread. I think we are ok at the center with Hall and Kidd but could use maybe another 6-8 player or taller just as a back up.
Felder has a lot of Simms in him in that he can do a lot of different things inside and out.

He did get COVID during the last pause so that why he had symptoms like that.
