Not first,for sure. But does it really matter where we finish. Win out regular season might be the only way to even make the NIT.
Of our 4 remaining games two are to teams we have already lost to; Ga. Tech on the road ,a game in which I think Tech went on a 24-6 run early and to Boston College ,at home where we blew a 23 point 1st half lead. Wake is near the top of the standings and Va. Tech is in the middle so I could see us going 4-0 or 0-4,with 4-0 being a very big stretch if we do not have P.L. Hall.

The NIT is better than nothing, but is this BB team deserving of the NIT, personally, I really don't think they are being a one man team as in PJ Hall.

We have no chance of making the NIT. That tournament is actually a lot harder for high-major programs to get into than it used to be since regular season champs of smaller leagues who don’t win their conference tourneys get auto-bids to the NIT now

Even if we were to win out the NIT is off the table. The only post season option at this point is to win the ACCT and make the NCAAT…. So there will be no post season play this year.

Just looking at the bottom teams,
Clemson : Wake, @BC, GT, VT
NC ST: BC, UNC, @Wake, @FSU
BC: FSU, @NCSt, Clemson, Miami, @GT
GT: @Cuse, VT, @ND, @Clemson, BC
Clemson goes 2-2 or 1-3. We have 3 at home but without hall doubt we beat Wake or VT. NC State goes 1-3 at best you would imagine. They are just bad. BC could go 1-4 or 2-3. GT goes 2-3 or 1-4 also. Of course all of these abismal teams have a chance to lose out, but likely we finish tied with NC State for worst record and having beaten them for the tie breaker, should make the ACC tourney. Let’s see how the fellas fight down the stretch. Will be good PT if nothing else for some younger players.

They are currently playing for pride. Too many injuries and were not in a great spot with the inconsistent play before the injuries. Hard to believe we could be last at any sport in the ACC.

At this point, I just want the bleeding to stop and the season to be over. For me it's time to cut bait and get a real coach. No more "hot" prospects. A coach with a proven track record is needed. Brownell has had 12 freaking years to get this program going. No more excuses, it's time for a change my friends.

If Clemson finishes last in his 12th season how much will this cut back on his next contract extension?
Seriously CBB should never have had this lengthy of a tenure but that is on DRad. CBB is a good man and become a wealthy man but not one other college has tried to hire him away (that tell's you a lot of what most people think of his coaching ability).
