I don't say that for any other sport other than softball, by the way, but I like this Texas team. Classic underdogs. Kicked UCLA's butt today, 7-2, in the first round. They'll likely get Oklahoma, who is playing Northwestern later. That oughta be interesting. Texas is only one of two teams to beat Oklahoma (4-2) this year, the other being Okie St in the Big 12 tourney. So far, in the NCAAs, Oklahoma has outscored their opponents 52-3! Texas, meanwhile, has outscored their NCAA opponents (incl today) by 32-16. Oklahoma's record is 54-2 while Texas is currently 44-19-1.

Should be some good softball this weekend!

I remember about 20 or so years ago, Texas was in the CWS every year. Had some mighty good teams. Had pitchers who had arms like flame throwers. Don't know if there was a coaching change or what. They are not the powerhouse they once were.

National title. Which they thankfully did.

I think they made the final four teams a couple years ago, so they are on the come back in baseball.

Southern Cal baseball. Now that’s a program that has completely fallen off the map. Perhaps the most dramatic fall for any blue blood program in any college sport.
