When I look outside here, all I see is snow falling. Wishing I was on a course playing but not for a few days with our crazy weather for the next few days.

Any chance of transferring or other job opportunities ? Might be a good time to pursue since people can't find workers.

Well I’m retired and my kids and grandkids are here, plus I have a brother in law with extreme bad health and wife doesn’t want to leave him as he has no other siblings that could help him, especially since he has no way other than Uber to get him to doctors appointments. Guess I’m stuck. Company transferred me here in 1982 so that is why I am here.

Move the whole clan south

Respect and understand the issue with your brother-in-law, but down the road maybe you can convince your kids to move south with you. I’m in mortgage banking and I see that happen all the time with extended families relocating down here.
