So far, the fastest anyone has run is 27½ miles per hour, a speed reached (briefly) by sprinter Usain Bolt just after the midpoint of his world-record 100-meter dash in 2009.

Running for an hour at speed is different.
So far the record is 13.25 mi. or 13.25 mph.

The best I have done was at age 46 -> in a 1/2 Marathon hit 10 miles in 57.27 minutes, so over 10mph and OK for a geezer.

All y'all slow folks. I can run a mile in 12 minutes if a bucket of chicken is waiting at the end.

on a treadmill, same as having a 22.4 mile hour wind at your back

I have a real treadmill, not the fold up Walmart type.
Crank that up max and watching it run is scary.
I have thousands of miles on it.
In some ways it is easier and some ways harder.
Not on a tread mill is harder mainly due to more lift off needed.

I recall many years back reading Henry Marsh. Most of his training was done indoors on a treadmill he built for himself (9-time US Champion).

I walk around the office complex at work 4-to 5 times a day because it would probably not go over well if I used cannabis products at my desk.

not go over well

May 5, 2022, 4:38 PM

Office workers must adjust, seems like you have.
I once had a desk in a 5 story building.
I would arrive early and do the stairs a few times. Unlike like Spud, I did them slowly using toe lift on each stair.

No one knew that as I did not want to be seen as different.

A guy I worked with had one of those huge Nordic Track things up in his office. It took about half the room up. If you went in the office while he was on it, you had to time his swings to get by. But the only fitness device in my office was a mat to take a nap on.

I mean, you should try it.

with that big wind, you should be able to do it with no problem.
