Kenya Crooks did it back in the day (late 90s) but for the life of me I can't recall if he went from Clemson to the Coots or vice versa. And ultimately, it's not important enough for me to google it.

Cary Cox was probably the first

Cary Cox, who passed away in 2008, lettered for the Gamecocks in 1943. After the war, he enrolled at Clemson and served as captain for the Tigers in 1947.

There was a golfer on the national championship team........

Jun 23, 2022, 2:51 PM

He was the best golfer at SoCar and he wanted to leave and transfer to Clemson. SoCar said they wouldn't release him so he sat out a year which happened to be the year that Clemson won it all. I'm not sure if he ever played but I thought it was very telling that he would sit out a year because he wanted to leave that bad.

Paul Williams, a de/lb type went from cu to usc back in the 80s. Never played a whole lot at cu, but played a good bit at usc. Younger bro of ex tiger DT tony Williams out of walterboro

"I love this place, I've got a spot already picked out where I want 'em to put me when I die - up there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays; then I won't have to go Heaven; I'll already be there."- Frank Howard
