Wife and I commenting on when did girls start wearing bathing suit tops with no shirt? Apparently this is a thing now? How do you girl dads deal with your kids doing that?

Since country pop wretched music started making it popular. The shorts I see now, with the cheeks hanging out....I have to say, as a kid, I'd loved it. As a dad, I'll ground my girl if I see her trying to leave with them on (have to believe I've put the fear in her not to)

You can tell a daughter what to wear when she's 14 or 15. When she is off in college and 19 to 21 it gets real hard (especially if they are pretty much financially independent) so you have to instill some modesty early on.

I have 2 girls in college right now. I told them the truth.
“If you actually knew what is going on inside a boy’s head at your age, you would run screaming into the night. They require absolutely zero encouragement. If you do encourage them, you will eventually find yourself in trouble.”
They seemed to have listened on this particular point.

There was a post on the Clemson parent page today about some of these same girls. Apparently local police broke up a party and some of these Daisy Duke wanna-be's were waiting for an Uber but tried to get into a car with a student who was not an Uber driver. There were comments on the parent page that the girls had the driver info on the Uber app and they just needed to use it. My thought was the girls had the brains to get into Clemson and they need to use those brains. But the bottom line is the same, parents need to talk more to their kids (and especially girls) about safety before they turn them loose in a college environment.

Oh the clothing battle us dads with daughters deal with. The battle with the clothing is tough at times. My youngest likes to wear baggy hoodies so good there. Both girls wear my shirts, hoodies, etc.
My oldest is hit and miss. She had a shorter sundress on today she was going to step out in and I had to make her put on booty shorts under it. Yes the whole sports bra wearing top is a thing. She does not really dress that way, but we have plenty of issues here and there we have to have the appropriate dress conversation over. They really do dress poorly these days.

We get out of the car & the out of the car in front of us steps out a mother & her big big teenage daughter with a half T-shirt that ended at the bottom half of her #####, her belly had 3 rolls with the second & third one surpassing the size of her chest while folding over her shorts.
I told my wife to get a picture for my daughter but she was scared of being seen..lol my wife said she didn’t have any friends.
We got inside the store and another really big girl was in a one piece bathing suit in the produce section, it was really sad.
They had no respect for themselves. If we where at the beach, lake etc. I could see it but not in WinstonSalem lol.
It had been a long while since I had experienced Walmart, probably be a long while before I go back too.

How are they dealing with all the other things their newly released-into-the-world kids are doing- the partying, drinking, study habits, etc? They aren't = unless they get to a point of pulling the plug on their financing. The kids have to grow up and make their own decisions.
