But also gave up 52 pts mostly from rushing yards. Don't see any way they win out with that liability on defense.

So you are saying that if Wake Forest can win a game where the opponent has the ball for 43 minutes then our defense should have been able to beat NC State while spending 40 minutes on defense?
I don't think I agree with you, but I've never really compared out defense to Wake Forest before.

Because it is a football board and that is maybe the most astounding football statistic I have seen. Also because Wake Forest is a future opponent.

Wake has two legit wideouts and a QB that puts touch on deep balls when his guys are past the DB so at a minimum you get a big gain and tackled while waiting on the ball. Plus Army decided they would play man coverage all day and got burnt like an albino at the beach. Never thought about changing it either. So Wake scored all day long in 2-5 plays.

Appalacia A&T rolled up 498 yards in just 6 minutes against Rocky Mountain High in a 1921 contest. But the most interesting stat is that they only scored 6 points. Fumbled the ball away 5 times.
