From what I have noticed this year, Val seems to be less effective the more she pitches this year (as opposed to the previous two years where she was effective no matter how often she pitched--as starter, mid-game relief, or closer). I think the Coach is realizing that they may be overusing her, and that they need to spread the pitching load throughout the staff--both to provide more experience/depth, and to allow appropriate recovery time for Val's pitching arm.

Ordinarily, I'd tend to agree with you but she was relieved in Friday's game with a very low pitch count. I hope she's not hurt. She did bat. But her batting is off too. Striking out a lot. Plus, if that were the case, he wouldn't have brought Millie in for relief today with her having a high count yesterday. Hopefully one of the Clemson media will ask.

type of sleeve in Saturday's game. I wonder if she has an injury that we've not heard about? May be the reason we haven't seen her in the field other than pitching. Of course pure speculation. Like @clemgalalways I wish we'd get some media coverage.

On the bright side...how awesome has Millie been...and Regan? Brooke looks good but has to have a little more control...too many walks. Painted herself into a corner Sunday.

I’d bet she has an injury of some kind but it’s not wise to tell other teams this because they fear her & walk her a lot.
