User guide for CFB App

Jan 1, 2019, 7:39 PM

Here is a step by step guide for getting your tickets on your phone. Makes more sense than the nonsense email.

1. Download the CFB Playoff app.
2. Once downloaded, you will need to create an account.
3. To do so, click tickets in the bottom right of app (or via the menu).
4. Choose CFB account and select forgot password.
5. If you have an account already (enter the email address for the forgotten password). The email address needs to be the same one iptay uses. skip to step 8 if you have an account.
6. If you do not have an account, create an account by selecting sign up. Use the email address iptay uses for you and create a password.
7. Close out and reopen the app. Go to tickets > CFB playoff account > forgot password. Enter your email address.
8. You will now receive an email. Click the link to set you password (I did the same password I used to create the account). This effectively links the account for the app to the tickets from iptay.
9. It may take a few hours, but your tickets will appear in the app (mine is visible but not available for 2 more days)
10. Hope this helps and see you in Santa Clara!

I tried logging in with my Ticketmaster account, which is the same email address that I use for IPTAY, but apparently this does not work. I'm about to try this the other way by creating a CFB Playoff specific account.

don't use ticketmaster zccount info. And I would not link accounts either. think of them as two separate accounts that happen to use the same email address.

Thank you for this. I think I did everything correctly but my tickets are still not showing up (even though I got an email from Clemson Athletics saying they are available in the app).

I did have one question about what you mean with this statement in item #8: "I did the same password I used to create the account."

Aren't you creating a password for the first time when creating the account at step 8?

Basically, you have to create a CFP account THEN you click forgot password and enter the email for your account that you have already made. You will get an email that prompts you to change the password. You can make it the same as whatever you used for the account you made. Once you do that, the tickets will appear in the app (about an hour or so later).

Do you need to download and use CFP app if you are buying tickets on secondary market, stub hub, etc.?

How long before the tickets appear?

I didn't even buy any. This is freaking awesome.
