I posted the other day I think the big city schools will have an advantage. Pitt, BC, Syracuse, Miami, Ga Tech. We will see.

Lots of money in South Florida. Fortunately very little of it seems to care whether the university of Miami has a football team or not. Administration doesn’t seem to be engaged.
Hopefully Dabo and Company can remain responsibly out front

I just remember the abysmal softball games there on streaming. One camera and hardly any graphics. Thanks Swoff. Great move letting them in

They care about the Patriots, the Red Sox, the Bruins, and the Celtics (probably in that order).

The Tar Heels would appear to have an advantage on this one.

How can these kids possibly be expected to maintain their grades and manage all of that new found wealth?

It’s great to see these kids get paid. A lot of them don’t come from great homes and send money back home from their stipend and the ones who never make it to the NFL never get the big pay day. Good for them to get it while they can!
If businesses want to pay the kids, it’s their money and they can do what they want with it. Happy for the kids that they can finally make money

Wonder how much boosters and boosters businesses are going to funnel to recruits in this way. Also money that gets placed into the players hands, does not go into the ever expanding coffers of the athletic department and university general funds.
If enough businesses and boosters organize payments to players in this way, schools that offer $5000 a month are going to have an advantage over schools that offer only $500 a month.
Schools that can get enough businesses to endow $10,000 per player in NIL money are going to have a distinct recruiting superiority over schools with lesser “endowed” NIL money.
If a booster business gives $500,000 in advertising money to players, that is $500,000 less than they were given to the athletic or current in the traditional manner. Conflict coming there.

If this cryptocurrency stuff can't be traced as I understand. Then there will be all kinds of things going on that people will never know about.

will find a way to pay Oklahoma State athletes. He already gives the school millions annually.
You can also look for Jerry Jones to take care of Arkansas players.
This will also be an opportunity for Phil Knight and Nike to pump even more money into Oregon.
The list goes on and on.
