Feb 19, 2013, 2:29 PM

What, exactly, did you expect him to say?

Feb 19, 2013, 2:34 PM

Yep. I'd rather draw my conclusion from his lawyer with the facts.

I suppose you know something different?

lawyer. I mean, if Dakwan was guilty, wouldn't the lawyer just say, "Man, we screwed on this one?"

It's proving a point,

Feb 19, 2013, 2:54 PM

possibly to you. There it is, in black and white. He'll be exonerated. Why can't someone draw conclusions from it?

Everyone drew conclusions previously without any details.

Dew ya unberstand dat chumps?

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would expect a plea deal to a lesser charge

Feb 19, 2013, 3:20 PM

Probably end up with probation and community service regarding firearm education

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

MauldinT, where are you???

Probably a fine, no charges

Feb 19, 2013, 3:41 PM

Spokesman Kevin Ryan said the Queens District Attorney's Office, which has jurisdiction over both the city's major airports, handles approximate 50 to 60 cases of airline passengers transporting weapons licensed in places other than New York a year. The gun charge is a Class C felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

However, "if the weapon is not illegal and the person can prove that they are duly licensed to possess the weapon in their state, then they could walk away with just a violation [a non-criminal offense with a fine]. But in all cases the weapons are confiscated and destroyed," Mr. Ryan said.

Feb 19, 2013, 4:00 PM

to go on probation and community service, will his cwp in sc be revoked? just curious. if so, i think that is bs. imo, he did nothing wrong, if what i understand is right, in that he informed security about the weapon.

I love Daquan, but a 6 month to one year sentence would
teach him that he isn't above the law.Pay for your crime
Daquan and quit carring guns in your bag.

Nothing like the self-righteous punks that push prison. What

Feb 19, 2013, 5:56 PM

about 6-12 months in jail is going to "pay for your crime"? Anywhere else, it's not a crime to declare a weapon. Get over your vinDICKtiveness.

solos, when in Rome, follow the Rome laws.when in SC, follow
SC laws.when in NY,follow their laws.As far as me being a punk, that is debatable.I believe i proved many years ago
that i don't fall in that slot.

For real? This is the most self righteous, indignant post yet. Get off your high horse and join the rest of society. Nothing in this case says Bower's thinks he is above the law. The fact he tried to check it in says the exact opposite!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Did you realize there is a mandatory minimum sentence...

Feb 19, 2013, 7:20 PM [ in reply to Re: Bowers will be 'exonerated' of gun charge - link ]

for making posts this idiotic? Minimum 18 months in prison. Sorry you didn't realize this, ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it. Maybe next time you will do your homework. You're not above the law, do your time and try not to be such a DA next time. Thanks

6 to 12 months in prison for not knowing a city law?

Yeah, he's going to get something (fine, etc.) for his dumbazz mistake, but thank goodness you're not a judge!

Feb 19, 2013, 6:55 PM

I hope that this is going to happen but the headline is misleading. It is not over til the fat lady sings.
I want it to turn out like this. Keep praying.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ya I already called him out for that in another thread.

Feb 19, 2013, 7:03 PM

Talking to this guy is like talking to a brick wall. He is a moron, no sense in wasting your time arguing with him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Aw Mike, I'm listening.

Feb 19, 2013, 7:27 PM

I know the title is only a copy and paste. You are the moron arguing.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

will be, not "Has been" .... its just what his lawyer

Feb 19, 2013, 9:08 PM

is saying. His lawyer should be saying that.

Until this is all over, I won't stop worrying for DaQuan. :(
