Not to sound big headed but

I just don't see Georgia hanging with us at all Aug 31st. They have 7 noobs on defense. Its unlucky for them that they will have to have their first game experience against one of the best if not the best offense in the nation. If you guys disagree with me, thats fine, and I respect your opinion.

I'm confident we can come out with a W...but there are a lot of unanswered questions with our offense...especially after the Spring game debacle...
Regardless of the score, I can see this being an extremely physical game...similar to the Auburn game their Championship year.
I'm also curious as to how the refs will handle the new targeting rule. Shuey can be hot headed at times...just hope he and the others don't take it too far and get yanked from the game...

I agree with everything your said, but the thing is about the spring game is that Tajh did not play, and I know we will be wayyy more pumped for the leg humpers game than the spring game...if we are not we deserve a "L" Lol

It's late and I'm using my words loosely...don't read too much into the word debacle...just unfortunate that we will not have Kelly or Cooper available come game day.

When you wrote that the first time, we took it as if your said something like we played awful in the spring game.

There is no one to blame...just a very unfortunate series of events. I think we have more than capable backups at the respective positions...but I'm a big advocate of depth, especially with this style offense...

I agree! The Spring game showed me we have a lot more quality depth at the positions we needed help with, and while TB didn't play, we have some pretty decent QB's on the roster that can look good with the talent we have coming back, not to mention the incoming talent, some of which will see much action. I see huge improvements in our tackling on defense, OL play and depth vs last year, etc. I do drink the Kool-Aid, but I see progress like we haven't seen since DF.

They have a ton of talent on that side of the ball too, and our defense is still questionable.

I'd hate to have a close conservative game called like with Auburn last fall and have another puntarooskie used against Clemson.
Remember, Richt was on the FSU staff over 20 years ago when it looked like Clemson had the game in hand. Just my 2 cents.

i completely understand you being confident in winning but to state that UGA won't be able to "hang" with clemson is utterly close minded. Your offense will is replacing half it's players in key positions and i'm sorry but what is imposing about your defense that should worry us? Uga, led by quarterback Aaron Murray and running back Todd Gurley, returns almost everyone from a unit that ranked No. 1 in the nation last season in yards per play.

Everybody will be keying in on Sammy, they need to watch out for 6'5= Bryant and 6'3 Peake and if 6'6 TE Legget is ready by then it's not going to be pretty.. let's not forget Boyds ability to run and everybody forgets about Humphries and oh yeah G-HOP...boy boy boy if and I mean if, our offense is clicking by then. UGA will get tired fast. I havent even mentioned the Running backs. WE TOO DEEP!!!! but its going to interesting and a good game but it all depends on which team will be ready by kickoff. I hate that this is the 1st game of the season.

UGA's questions going into the season are the same as ours

They have a solid offense with a ton of returning talent and experience.
We have a solid office with a ton of returning talent and experience.
They have a young defense with paper talent and little experience.
We have a young defense with paper talent and little experience.
This game will determine who develops responses to those issues first.

Our defense will show up because they have a point to prove to the world that the ACC is not weak..The same thing happened with LSU. Our defense played to prove a point. If UGA takes them lightly its going to be a long day for UGA..I'm not worried about our D-line and LBs its the secondary I question.

keep i mind that anytime a ACC team gets to play a SEC team, thats more motivation for the ACC team to prove themselves because of all the talks about how the ACC is weak and the SEC is the Powerhouse. Clemson wants respect bad and the NAACF knows it. Why else would they slap Clemson with UGA the first game of the season.

While I want to agree with us hammering the dawgs, I'm sticking with "The first team to 50 wins".
Anyone that doesn't think Murray is going to hang a lot of points on our D, just hasn't watched Murray play. They were ONE PLAY away from playing for the NC - and probably winning that game too.

We have 2 ATH Safety's on the way Kearse and TJ Green both of these guys are about 6'4 and running a 4.4 Forty can you imagine trying to overthrow these cats. Our starters have no choice but to step it up

The thing that worries me about UGA is their OFFENSE. If Marshall and Gurley can get traction, it will open up the play action, and Murray can and will burn us. I have no faith in our secondary until they prove themselves.
I fully expect our secondary to get torched on deep balls, unfortunately. I also think UGA will try to play "keep away" like USCe did in the 2nd half of our game last year. If our offense isn't on the field, they can't win it for us.
I think this game 100% depends on Clemson D matching up against the UGA O. If we can stuff them at the line of scrimmage and get pressure on the QB (Like we did against LSU), we can run away with the game. If we can't we may get beat by 2 TD's.

True, hopefully Coach Mike Reed will bringit and get those boys on fire.. i always question, how is it that we have one of the best offenses in the league and our secondary is weak. You would think after running behind Sammy and Nuk that our secondary would be the Bomb.
