With all this super conference talk, tell me how

the playoff would be held? Current 4 team format would be out I presume and the proposed expanded 8 or 12 team format would select from where? And who gets to decide how it is done?

No matter what the format

The ACC will have a difficult time getting anyone in, especially if we don't have a good out of conference schedule. I think future games with LSU and Georgia are in Jeopardy (except the 2023 game in ATL with UGA) because they will likely be going to a 9 game conference schedule and drop all major OOC games. But who knows?

Not with 8 slots

All we need is a top 10 team…

Similar to NFL

If we end up with 2 super conferences of 20 teams each, 4 divisions each for a total of 8 teams. then 4 division champs play a 2 round playoff for conference champ, then the conference winners play for championship.

If not one of the 40 teams in one of the super conferences, you do not participate.

Clemson is stuck in the sorry ACC. Grant of Rights is going to ruin college football for everyone in the league. Not only will it prevent Clemson, Florida State and UNC from leaving, it will also prevent the ACC from bringing in any major program (Who in their right minds would agree to that? Oh .... we did) So I hate to be doom and gloom, but as strange as it sounds, Rutgers may become a major college football program and Clemson and Miami might become lower tier programs like the group of five. The ACC simply can not complete financially with the two superpowers.

If enough teams exit the ACC and it folds the ACC and folds the tv deal no one will have to pay that.

Remember that winning will be really hard if your only playing conference games…

We might be better off being the King of the Hill in our conference with a shot every year for a National Championship!
