Besides ivermectin, what other primarily veterinarian drugs

do you guys recommend for prevention of disease? Went down to the local co-op today and stocked up. Got me some antibiotics, flea and tick medications, heartworm medications, more of that horse/cow dewormer. I'm going to try a cocktail to see if it prevents the flu.

mix it with some Jergins. Much better than the $100/tube stuff from the doctors office.

You do realize most drugs veterinarians prescribe are used for humans as well right?

Well as a physician, you'd think I might. But I do realize

too that I've never prescribed ivermectin for a human being in the US. I also can look at data and study design and understand how poor data leads to conclusions made by fringe physicians. Unfortunately, people then come to a conclusion on doctors they read something about on a website instead of talking to their doctors. And then they do stupid #### like go buy medications that aren't intended for human consumption. You know what, come to think of it water was created for animals and humans, but I don't drink after my cat or dog. Maybe I should try that next.

Its deffiantly too early to tell if ivermectin works as a preventative or a treatment but there have been studies in its favor for sure. I'm not about it take it so I dont really care either way lol. Just pointing out that how we treat canines usually is very similar to how we treat humans.

Turns out you have the best view point on it. Basically

we don't know. A few small, underpowered studies done show promise. Doesn't mean jump to a conclusion and start taking it. There are equal studies showing no benefit. I wouldn't be taking it. As for the dog and cat, I may not get sick, but they leave these nasty little floaters in there that I don't want any part of. I do find it odd that, while not everyone, a fair portion of the ivermectin lovers are against the vaccine. So one was created by scientists and recommended for this virus specifically yet "I don't know enough about it to take it". The other is primarily used to deworm horses/cows in US and occasionally people, but more widespread use in third world countries. Either way, not created for this virus at all yet people will take one and not the other. Blows my mind.

Well I think its because we dont know the long term side effects of the mrna vaccines. Which I suppose we do not know the long term side effects on ivermectin in humans either lol.
