Turning point

Sep 24, 2022, 5:35 PM

It seems like every year Dabos teams have a game where they struggle through but figure out who they are for the rest of the season. The way DJ played and the offense stepped up today seems like this may be the game, he said they are going to fix that defense gotta think there will be some changes schematically and some guys back, not sure they play a more deep offense going forward.

And I apologize to DJ wish I could in person bc I was a big time non-believer, he looked like a stud today, stayed in the pocket and managed it well, made plays with his legs, and delivered accurate strikes. Very very happy to have been wrong, I still think Cade will fit the offense better in the future but I think as long as DJ is in an offense that spreads the D out he will play much more fluidly and open up the rest of the offense.

I don't say it was a game we didn't play well but was a game between two pretty good offenses. DJU took all the heat for last year because people did not accept that injuries just killed us. We have not won 2 National Championships and more games than every team not named Alabama the last several years by playing players that were not our best.

DJ took heat the last 15 games bc he was robotic in his motions, inaccurate bc his feet were a mess and not up to speed with his eyes, and he never moved in the pocket, and he would stare down wrs at times.

He's made massive strides the last 2 games. He looks comfortable playing QB again, idk what changed but it looked like a switch was hit for him and boy was it impressive, even a few of his incompletions were impressive and smart throws.

I did find it interesting that CK did not get a drive in

this game like the previous ones just to change it up. DJ played well for the most part. He has got to keep it on the read now and then to make that play work. Wake was crashing it hard. He would have had some nice runs on keeps. But boy was he strong in the pocket. Stood there and got the ball out with folks hanging on him numerous times. RT has got to improve, as well as the teamwork over there on the right side. Go Tigers! Keep winning!
