Turner Interception Aftermath

After Turner intercepted with seconds remaining in the game, the ball was put on the 10-yard line. Why? Although I saw no flag and no mention was made by the TV announcers of a penalty, did we get a penalty for "excessive celebration" and, hence, 10 yards marked off back from the 20-yard line to the 10-yard line? Inquiring minds want to know.

That sounds reasonable. I have no idea. It's hard to see the TV from a celebration pile in the TV room.

He took his helmet off early and ran around with it off celebrating with anyone and everyone.

I was celebrating in the stands too, so they could have called it on me too.

came to the conclusion it was exactly as you say ... half the distance to the goal for excessive celebration.

Thee was an unsportsmanlike penalty. Half the distance to the goal from the 20.
