Do any of y’all think Clemson should install turf in Death Valley? I think we should because usually in November the field starts to look awful.

If you put in purple turf I’ll never watch another Clemson game just as I refuse to watch a Boise game on their blue turf.

...has looked pretty poor mid-late season and has included the liberal use of green "paint". We need to figure it out. Plenty other Southeastern schools have.

I remember when we played Citadel in 2017 the field didn’t look so good.

Yes! We’ve spent crazy money on Bermuda and Rye. We’ve dealt with army worms and fungicides.
Players slip and slide on rye.
I’m not sure why they haven’t put in PAT like Duke and VT…
Might as well put in artificial turf like WF and others have done.

There’s a reason the field sometimes shows the dormant Bermuda grass in late season. The field is not seeded heavily with perennial rye grass. The lighter seeding sometimes allows more of the browning Bermuda grass to show through. Dabo prefers players to be able to sink cleats into the more stable Bermuda grass and rye can be more slippery. So, the grounds crew is giving Dabo want he prefers for his players. That might mean sacrificing a little color.

Hate to say it, but for those who haven't noticed DV already has turf. Look around the perimeter of the field and you'll see it, especially when the green grass stops looking so green.
