Why does one have to be "better?" Just accept that all that music is a gift. If you don't think so, force yourself to listen to what is being called music on the pop and rap scene today.
Music is supposed to be an assemblage of notes that is pleasing to the ear. Very little of that around nowadays anywhere except in modern country music, which is actually what we used to call easy listening rock and roll.
