Trump will not endorse anyone

Feb 27, 2022, 7:53 PM

running for political office unless they agree that the election was stolen from him. IMO, Trump’s refusal to admit he lost the election is the reason he will not be reelected again. His approval ratings are clearly down, even with the Biden fiasco.

If Trump handled his loss differently and at least only suggested it was possible the election was stolen from him, he probably would be reelected. Just my opinion, but I really believe this is the case. So its my belief that his narcissistic personality disorder that doesn’t make it possible for him to ever admit losing anything will be his downfall.

I think a lot of us would like to see sanity return to the GOP so it can become a strong and rational counter to the Democratic party.

Nah, you just want them to run more punching bags who are left of center like McLame and Shmitt Romney. Can’t blame you, if I was a dem that’s what I’d want. And if I were a repub I’d want Joe or Kamalla. Or Pete Bootyjudge.

She’s John McCain in a pantsuit. She is the establishment. Would definitely keep on for keeping on. Let the left have education and the intel agencies as long as they don’t come after her. Will be easily corrupted by big business and Wall St. Will continue expanding the Patriot Act and make poor decisions on international issues. If you voted for Hillary, you will get her if Cheney is elected.

Sure. No problem.

Non-partisan budget act of 2019, voted FOR.

1.4 trillion omnibus and 900 million COVID bill, FOR

Voted to RENEW the FISA system.

And her work on this January 6th thing is essentially just a complete power grab by the feds and she’s helping big time.

Like most republicans who are in it for the long haul, she is moving further and further left, towards giving more power and control to the federal government, and is voting more based on donors than citizens.

Now he’ll just move the goalpost and take some stat from a left wing site about how she votes with republicans 91% of the time or something. That’s what the left does.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

93%.

Feb 27, 2022, 8:28 PM

Feb 27, 2022, 8:27 PM [ in reply to Re: Trump will not endorse anyone ]

She was replaced with Stefanik who voted with Trump 78% of the time. So which is the more "leftist?"

But you nailed the difference. It's Cheney's comments and "work on this January 6th thing" that lost her her seat. That's pretty telling about where the priorities are for the GOP right now.

Feb 27, 2022, 8:39 PM [ in reply to She voted in line with Trump 93% of the time. ]

I’m not a Republican, but I have to tell you this committee is a complete power grab for the feds and intel agencies. No one thinks that band of morons was some insurgency that posed a threat to democracy. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. This is a chance for the federal government to be able to collect bank records whenever they want without a warrant, to be able to circumvent due process if you’re against the government, and to be able to railroad members of Congress who don’t go along to get along.

And I challenge you to find a few times since Biden was elected that Cheney voted party lines when a dozen or more repubs went along with Dems. Like I said, she moves further and further left every day.

In all her years in office, that's it? And you had to look those up. Tho ONLY reason you don't like her is because of DADDY. She's as conservative as they come, FACT. Your just part of the cult.

2024 orange level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I didn’t look up anything

Feb 27, 2022, 9:25 PM

You asked for a few examples and I gave you a few examples. You act like I’m the only one who claims she’s not conservative. Conservatives don’t claim her and haven’t for a while now.

And you act like I’m some kind of conservative. I’m a federal anarchist. I believe the federal government should cease to exist and anything it’s doing that’s considered by some to be worthwhile should be done via the free market. That’s about as far from liberalism or conservatism as you can get.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I didn’t look up anything

Feb 27, 2022, 10:08 PM

If conservative "didn't claim her for a while", then how did she get promoted to House Chair in 2019? From 2017 to 2021, Cheney voted in line with Trump's position 92.9% of the time, supporting him more consistently in House votes than even his former chief of staff Mark Meadows. LOL

Re: I didn’t look up anything

Feb 27, 2022, 10:18 PM

There you go, moving the goalpost. Like I said, there are plenty of important votes she sided with the intel community over the people. And her Jan 6th committee move burned every bridge left. If conservatives claim her then why did they literally expel her from the leadership ranks? Where are all these conservatives lining up to defend her as she gets roasted for her participation in the sham committee? They were considering not allowing her into meetings at all because they thought she was a spy for Pelosi.

One problem with the far left is that they think that when anyone doesn’t side with them literally 100% of the time, even when 15 minutes ago they thought the exact same thing, that they’re “alt-right” and ultra-conservative. You can’t find a single conservative on this board who thinks right now, today, that she’s a strong conservative. Not one.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

...is it possible the ones who don't see her as conservative

Feb 27, 2022, 10:54 PM

are in fact, not conservative, the same as you (a federal anarchist)? And what should we then take from that about the current GOP? I'm not sure how many of the current GOP can be considered conservative anymore, certainly very few of them exist anymore on this board. Most of them sound like you more and more (a federal anarchist).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: ...is it possible the ones who don't see her as conservative

Feb 27, 2022, 11:10 PM

I mean…
Liberals aren’t liberal at all. They have one acceptable belief system and if you aren’t part of it they want to use the state to punish you.

Conservatives don’t want to conserve anything other than “the good ole days” and don’t defend the constitution any longer.

But I think conservatives now (and the only reason I pretend to know is because my family identifies as conservative) believe is standing up against wokism, for family values, for accurate elections, and for equally and fairly administered law and order. Most conservatives are shocked by the unmitigated power grab of the Jan 6th committee and think BLM and Antifa riots were worse and went almost completely unpunished in comparison. So the fact that Cheney is on the committee is a game changer. That, along with her voting for more reckless spending is enough for her to be thrown out of the club. Many conservatives saw Trump as someone who stood up against wokism and for law and order, and so her joining the kangaroo court that has tried and failed to cancel him is in their minds her joining the other team.

Whereas you see that she is hawkish and wrong on foreign policy, and see her back the blue and think since those are two main areas of conservatism that conservatism left her, not the other way around.

LOL at thinking that an investigation into the breaking in to the capital shortly after a MAGA pep rally, beating law enforcement, and an assassination attempt on the sitting VP of the United States is a "power grab". MAGA is most definitely a cult. You guys keep proving it every day.

Feb 28, 2022, 12:27 AM

LOL at thinking that BOA handing over the transaction history of anyone who bought anything near DC on January 5th or 6th without a warrant is no big deal. LOL at a committee being able to have the text message history of a sitting congressperson without anyone on your team batting an eye.

Like I said, it’s your team running it so you’re going to be for it. I just don’t want to hear any complaining of Trump runs and finds some rogue FBI agent who will spy on Biden’s campaign and take fake evidence and accuse Biden of things in the press, saying that there is an FBI investigation. And I don’t want to hear any crying if Trump wins and there’s a BLM riot and he puts them in jail without bail and waits forever to bring charges, and then confiscates Kamala’s phone records to poke around for fun when she speaks out about it.

Funny how your team never sees the slippery slope coming, and then complains when the red team does it to you. I still remember how upset your team was when Trump cut taxes and got rid of the mandate for socialized medicine using reconciliation. And when he tried to govern through executive action, as if Obama hadn’t taken that crack in the armor of our system and blown it right open.

I'm not the one being flippant over an insurrection. J6 was a BFD carried out by rabid supporters of a sitting POTUS who was feeding them lies and BS. Yet you call a legitimate investigation into this a "power grab". Too funny coming from the "law and order" crowd.

I very much want a Republican to win the presidency in 2024 as long as it’s not Trump. if Republicans want to win, they need to move on from Trump.
