Mac simply cannot afford to lose another top North Carolina recruit to Dabo.
Brown has to have this one to maintain his credibility.
Chances are good that he’ll get him.

Probably so, but, I think that Shaw should give a lot of thought on what would be important to him after FB is over for him. Do he want to have a college FB national championship to brag about when he is about 60 years old and nobody remembers him, and he is telling grand kids, and friends how good he was when he played college FB. One of the things they will ask him, where is your national championship ring/rings, well I played for UNCheat, and they don't play for FB championships, well maybe he wasn't as good as he's bragging about being !!!

The way Southern Cal pulled out all the stops to get Korey Foreman. There was no way they could let another kid from their backyard right there in Southern California go to Clemson. Because he was down to Clemson versus USC. And I think the coaches were shocked when he didn’t pick Clemson. Because all indications were he was going to pick us.
But when you watch his commitment video he didn’t really talk about Southern Cal, the coaching staff, none of the things you normally hear a player talk about. He picked USC because they filled his head with dollar signs and saying this is LA, this is Hollywood, you’re gonna be a superstar and make millions of dollars with NIL. It was really weird and delusional.
He really did make a choice based on money. Because why else would the number one player in the country pick USC when the only reason that coaching staff still had a job was because of Covid. And if they don’t do something big this year they are gone.
That coaching staff knew they needed to do something big they needed to create some momentum they need to create some buzz going into this season because they know their jobs are on the line and they just did whatever it took to convince Corey Foreman to stay there in LA.

Pretty much everyone thought when he committed the final time that he was going to commit to Clemson again.
But the more shocking thing is his motivation or at least rationalization. It was clearly that he had been hustled and had delusions of Hollywood and seven figures plus via NIL.

He is part of the 2021 recruiting class. Those are the kids coming in this year. NIL starts this year.

But scheme was only part of the equation for Foreman, who made it clear throughout the recruiting process that the potential to build his brand would be a deciding factor wherever he landed. In December, USC put together a presentation over Zoom on name, image and likeness to help illustrate the value of its in-house creative lab and the opportunities that would be available to Foreman at USC.
The presentation made an impression on Foreman, who called it “insane.”
“It was like I’m the King of Hollywood,” Foreman said. “It’s everything that people talk about wanting to have. I couldn’t be the only one that was drooling when they talked about the numbers.”

But with this coaching staff and Dabo that one percent is still strong! And anyone that doubts Brent Venables hasn’t been paying attention. The Ohio State game last year notwithstanding. As competitive as he is man I can’t imagine what it was like being around him this year. You know he wants to prove something in the Georgia game.

I don’t think Shaw wants to compete and something tells me he wants to be worshipped and he knows that won’t happen at Clemson. Based off talent and size and the film I watched he would fit in at Clemson and could help us assuming his work ethic and attitude was right. Still hate it because everything I hear is he is tarheel bound and with his talent and potential it makes no sense to me why he would choose UNC, but he is free to make his own choices and I certainly will respect him for that weather I agree with him or not. Don’t worry Clemson nation we will be just fine without Mr. Shaw.

Some people want to be the big name others want to play on a line loaded with quality players like at Clemson and compete for championships. And only Alabama and maybe Ohio State have put more DL into the NFL over the last 10 years.

Have you guys paid attention to what Mack is building. I agree we have a way to go to have the overall talent and depth Clemson has but UNC is about to be loaded over the next several years. The defense Mack is recruiting will be one of the nations best next year and beyond.

What do you think he's building? UNC isn't recruiting anywhere near Clemson's level, and they're still losing 4 games a year.

But I think you are smart enough to know you can never count Clemson out.
Yes. Mac Brown is doing a great job. But you’re not gonna knock Clemson off the perch just getting kids from North Carolina. Just to be competitive you have to keep the best kids in state. But to beat Clemson, to take over the top spot in the ACC, you have to do more than keep kids in North Carolina. You have to do what Clemson does, which is go to Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Ohio, even California and get the best kids in the entire country.
