Rattler claims OU was an toxic environment. He must’ve never attended a coot football game. He just transferred into an even more toxic environment

That’s how things go for most folks that get benched or their feelings hurt. Got to have an excuse. You got beat out by a better QB and now you took your ball and went to SC what could go wrong?

He is a great QB based on arm strength and physical attributes. Can he pull it together mentally is the question. Make no mistake he is a couple steps above the others on their roster and also DJ based on last year ( not HS DJ or Freshman year DJ)

He seems to have the measureables but he couldn't keep his job playing against Big 12 defenses while being surrounded with Oklahoma talent. I don't know how this is a better situation for him. I will concede, he is probably far better than anyone else in the SC QB room.

Yeah I was going to say there’s no one he has to worry about taking his job away from him. That’s probably the only reason he went to u of sc.

Only watched one of OU's games last year and that was the opener where they were way over rated and squeaked by Tulane (the Green Wave gave them all they could handle). He will fill right at home in Columbia.

If he had stayed at OU, he would have BV as head coach and the possibility of playing since his competition left. As someone once said, "He's a real nowhere man, sitting in his nowhere land."

It was toxic because he wasn't very good and...

OU fans wanted Caleb Williams to play.
I'm no Spencer Rattler fan at all but he was in an impossible situation. The expectations for him were insane and he just didn't have the talent to live up to them (I've discussed him in detail here before).
The bottom line is when Caleb Williams chose OU, it was over for Rattler and there was no graceful way to make the transition.
Any unbiased person who actually watched Rattler play as a freshman could see his limitations. Give him great pass protection and he has the arm talent to do great things. Seriously! However, pressure him some and he often goes haywire. Once he gets "rattled", he never settled down (that I saw) and regained his composure. Some guys just cannot make quick decisions under duress. There are a lot of college QBs like this and some in the NFL.
Enter Caleb Williams who has an electric arm, electric legs AND a giant personality.
If USCe's O-line can't protect him, Rattler will seriously regret his choice. That said, when he's comfortable, the guy can flat out throw the ball like few others.
