Obviously football is a team sport but who are your top 5 individuals most responsible for this title? Number 1 should be the same for everyone but here is mine:

1. Dabo - He set the standard.
2. Watson - arguably the best CU player ever.
3. Venables - recruiting and defense.
4. Ford - Proved winning titles at CU can happen.
5. Bowden - Took CU from Hatfield/West to another level and hired Dabo.

You have to throw Tajh in there, too. A mentor and friend to DW4, he was the perfect fit for Chad Morris's offense that we still run today. Most of his successes seem small now compared to what we just did, but he laid foundation for DW4 and kept program going in right direction

I don't think Bowden nor Ford have anything to do with this title. Even if We hadn't won a title under Ford I think Dabo could and would have still gotten it done. In fact, he likely would have been even more determined to do so.

Wreck. Our practice fields weren't even lined off correctly, we played on a football field with a crown and practiced on a flat field. The locker room hadn't been updated in 20 years our weight room was a joke!! Bowden started the drive to update the football facilities and he was met with huge opposition from the old guard who said win and that stuff didn't matter. Bobby Robinson let all of our athletic facilities fall apart. Without Bowden we wouldn't have gotten the West End Zone, and he insisted on the removal of the crown.

Without the removal of the crown and the upgrade in the playing surface no way the Note Dame game is even played, the field would have been under water. In the 1990's during a Wake Forest game the east end zone was under water during a rain storm. Bowden was the 1st to tell the administration if they didn't invest they'd never be any better than they were now, 1999.

I would throw CJ or Tajh in there, those guys are the ones who really started putting Clemson on the map for recruits outside SC and elevating the program.
