To the Braves fans, what's your ideal lineup for tonight?

Oct 31, 2021, 12:29 PM

Albies has to drop in the order. He's got a .304 SLG% this entire postseason with 0 HRs. You got to have more from you 3-hole.

Here's my lineup vs the lefty Valdez tonight:

Rosario L
Soler R
Freeman L
Riley R
D'Arnaud R
Albies S
Duvall R
Dansby R

D'Arnaud had a rough day at the office yesterday, but he's been hot in the WS until then.

Though, I doubt Snitker drops Albies from the 3-hole, but the truth is the Braves have been winning inspite of Albies, not because of.

I don’t see a change - Snitker is pretty ‘loyal’ to his guys. I would, however, personally like to see what a 3-4-5/‘murderers row’ of Freeman, Riley and Soler, could accomplish, though.

No matter what the lineup is, really hoping our batters get to Valdez and Davidson comes through on the mound tonight, as it will be SO sweet to win at home (we won the ‘95 WS at home on Halloween, too, right?); AND to have the weasel MLB/Commissioner present the trophy to and IN the city they screwed over with the All Star game!

And one last (petty) point: who else finds it so ironic that the team that actually cheated - and got caught - stealing signs has been very obvious and insecure by changing pitching signs at least a half dozen times during the games?!

GO BRAVES!!!

No, they won it on the 28th in '95. I looked it up.

Also, Snit has surprisingly been willing to tweak the lineup every game this WS. Though, this will be Snits lineup, 99.9% Guaranteed.

Rosario
Freeman
Albies
Riley
Solar
D'Arnaud
Duvall
Dansby

And yes, winning in ATL would be amazing for all the reasons you mentioned.

I take it back. Put Soler at leadoff and Rosario at 5. Now that will be the lineup***

Yeah, I probably should have looked it up! I just remember we were living in Atlanta then and had a Halloween party the night they won it. Oh well, I have slept since then, though! lol

I got the poster of that WS Champion Braves team - actually a copy of the front page of the AJC (which also has the Tigers vs GT game score of 27-3 on it; nice touch). Have since gotten a few Braves player’s autographs on it at a couple events over the following years. Pretty cool, and it’s hanging in my game room now.

GO Braves!!

Completely agree about Albies. He has 2 rbi the entire postseason and can’t hit the ball out of the infield, if he makes contact at all. He’s just lost right now, especially from the right side. He has left a ton of men on base from k’s.

I definitely sit Pederson for Solar, but that’s pretty obvious. I couldn’t believe that wasn’t the case last night. For the most part Snit has been pushing the right buttons and has done a great job managing the roster this postseason.

I like your lineup. Would do it the same way.

Man I can’t wait for this game. It would be so sweet if they could win it at home, but glad they have some wiggle room. It’s been so fun watching this team this postseason.
