It’s rare in my lifetime that I wore socks unless I was playing sports or exercising. Or Sunday’s for church if in a suit.

Funny sock story. We had a scheduled meeting at work called back in the mid eighties. The big boss was attending that day. We began filing in and this one guy came gliding in wearing a tropical shirt with the top two buttons unbuttoned and loafers with no socks. We all sat down and the meeting was about to start, the big guy sorta half grunted and everyone knew to pipe down. He was red-faced and called the guy with the unbuttoned shirt by name. He asked him who the yell are you trying to be, Sunny Crockett? He then said if you ever come to one of my #amn meetings dressed like that again I'll send you home to think about it for a while. BTW the boss referred to himself as the Tsar!
