I knew he would be a better pro, he was young, really young & needed to mature &he has done that. He always had the talent.

He started as a WR for the first time at Clemson. He was new to the position out of high school.

I read a story about him a while back that stated Clemson took his scholarship when he got hurt. I can’t remember this happening is it true.

Nope. Dabo did not take away a scholarship from Ray-Ray McCloud for injury or any other reason. McCloud had 3 solid years of play, declared for the draft and left school for the pros.

Matter of fact, Dabo always believed in Ray-Ray and gave him more chances to learn how to catch a punt in live game action than most coaches would have!

I believe you are thinking of Ray Ray McElrathbey. Bowden supposedly didn't renew his scholarship after an ACL tear.
