Who picked up the tab on that feast? Had to top $5,000, maybe more.

Check the Omnibus bill.

Might be in there somewhere.

Literally no one would know for sure.

One thing I care about is in it. Funding for all the fibre they are installing in rural SC. Rescue act authorized it, but the funding is year to year like all discretionary spending.

I can look into it. Don't buy into all the propaganda from clowns and fools.

Some people are surprised a 1.7 trillion dollar spending bill is very long and complicated. Those people are morons. You hear the arguments that "nobody has read the whole thing," as if that means anything.

I'm not in a hurry, since you won't ever read it if I find the precise pages. It's split between a couple of divisions that fund the particular agencies that the money is coming out of. For the actual authorization to spend money on broadband, see the American rescue act.

For that moran asking about the omnibus spending bill, here’s a good part of it:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/2954/text

Mostly minor changes, but one interesting one for younger folks is that it allows companies to include student loan payments in the basis for a 401(k) match.

I would say more. Brazilian Steakhouses and Miami area restaurants in general aren't cheap no matter where you go.

I would think that with it being a college, especially one as Clemson coming in for several days to play in the big bowl games as Clemson has done many times over the years. Whoever that is in charge with the bookings for Clemson's athletic department, they surely make some sort of a deal with the Restaurant management for bringing that many oversized hungry young men at once.

I'm sure the Restaurant management would cut a deal, or risk losing the business to some other restaurant, don't you think? They still make a ton of money even with cutting a percentage off the price. And if the Clemson's travel management don't barter deals with the hotels and restaurants, they should be replaced with people who will make deals for the good of Clemson and their budget!!!!

Probably closer to $25,000 for that size group and location. Group service charges plus tips plus plus plus. And that's mostly if not completely sans alcohol.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

150 people at $100 per head is $15,000

Dec 28, 2022, 11:43 PM

That’s probably an over estimate plus group discount puts the actual number around $7,000.

I’m thinking $50+ per head (with a group discount), so yes, well over 5k for 100 people

Way more than $5k, even without alcohol or gratuity, you can at least quadruple that amount.

Those places are usually around $50 flat, alcohol extra.

I checked that particular place, $61.

430 pounds of meat though...that's the equivalent to eating a whole Dexter Lawrence and 1/2 of a Renfrow.

I wonder what the team dietician had to say? Those guys must have a more efficient digestive system than I do.

Meat and fat are actually healthy.

Dec 29, 2022, 12:20 PM

Keto, carnivore, Paleo, etc. are the best diets in the world. It’s how we developed as hunter gatherers. The research has become pretty much undeniable at this point that these diets are not only healthy, but actually cure most of the health issues and diseases people are dying from today. Inflammation, metabolic syndrome, autoimmune, etc. including cancer and heart disease. Combine that with time restricted eating and especially intermittent fasting and before you have even lost a lot of weight you will start feeling younger than you have in years and your blood work will improved drastically. Try it for 30 days. It will change your life. Give it at least 6 to 8 weeks then go to your family doctor and have bloodwork done and it will blow your mind, especially if you had baseline bloodwork done before you started.

Go to YouTube and check out the following doctors:

Robert Lustig
Jason Fung
Peter Attia
Stephen Phinney

The life expectancy for hunter-gatherers was about 27 years. When you cut out carbs, it adversely affects mental health and intellectual capacity.

Probably won’t hurt someone who already goes to YouTube for medical advice much.
