After watching parts of the Ohio st game and the lsu game, we are the best team playing. Neither lsu's defense nor Ohio st offense are on any level with us. Whoever gains the 4th spot is getting a consolation prize. Never overlook playing the game, but this is going to be fun.

Again, why is GA 4th?***

Georgia is ranked fourth so that in the event that they beat LSU, two SEC teams will be primed to going to the playoffs. And I am sure not play each other in the first round to guarantee that one will be in the championship game.

The reality is that each of the conference championship games should be playoff games. Elimination games. You lose and you are out.

Having conference champions from across the country is better for the sport of college football altogether. Alabama had a chance to beat LSU and lost. Georgia will have a chance to beat LSU. If they lose, they are out. If Georgia wins, they represent the Southeastern conference. That simple.

Clemson represents the Atlantic coast conference if it wins. The big 10 will have a champion and the big 12 and the Pac-10

Think you got that first part backwards. If they played again in the semis, that would guarantee an SEC team in the playoffs. If they don’t play each other, as you’ve said, there is a chance both lose and there is no SEC in championship.

Having them play each other again in semis would probably be most logical but prob wouldn’t happen. Not that I’m worried about clemson handling whoever they get in the Semis, but if by chance two sec teams, in this case UGa and LSU make it through to the championship, it would probably be one of the least watched nationals championships in a while.

Why wouldn't they be 4th?

Who should be there? I don't think anyone even is really even close.

Oh, great. LSU and Chokelahoma...

The number one spot is going to be a "death sentence " again this season. It doesn't matter who you place there. If they are ahead of Clemson, then they are going down...and hard.

Look - you have to play EVERY game but I agree. To me Ohio State (sorry THE Ohio State) is the only team anywhere near as complete a team as we are but after watching them yesterday they don't scare me if we play our best. Go ahead media, keep disrespecting us....thank you.

You had it right the first time with no “the”. Don’t play into their condescension.

I think LSU could drop one to TA&M...

Another challenge to look out for in addition to the ones mentioned.
