Because the Doctors say it will not cause further injury. It is a stress fracture, not a break or a complete fracture.
Many people play sports with a stress fracture (particularly runners), but it is usually painful.
Kyle Parker played a whole season with a stress fracture on his ribs, after a cheap shot in the Auburn game.
He played and it hurt all season, and it did not heal completely until the next summer.
He was never the same on the football field after that cheap shot! Really hurt our season, but the won they were #1 that year.
Sounds like a similar situation with Ross. If the young man did not want to play, Dabo would sit him down.
I saw Dabo with Justyn’s family earlier this season. I am sure Dabo treats Justyn like he would his own family (sons).
After missing last year, I’m sure Justyn wants to play the game he loves.

Yeah, me too. Did Swinney know he had a stress fracture in his foot all season or did he say he thought it was a lower leg injury? Confused.

And why play him? When they hold back other players that are injured? Their messaging has gotten terrible. It's what happens when you talk so much. He should take a page from Bellicheck

Honestly, I don't believe anything they say about injuries. How many "stingers" have we heard about that turned in to actual injuries?

the Injury." - Feet, knees, shoulders, you name it, we have had it this year. The Coaches all like to say "Next Man Up." But, you get to a certain point, and there AREN'T any warm bodies left to play at some positions. We are real close to that at RB and O-Line.
